Dr. Landsverk discusses what to watch out for, what medications are helpful and which to avoid. This applies to all elders as well as those living with dementia.

The goal of this educational activity is to enhance health care professionals’ knowledge of the care of the older adult. This activity will focus on patient safety initiatives and promote the integration of evidence-based care for those with memory loss.

Objectives:

Registered nurses are often under-prepared with the knowledge and skills to care for hospitalized older adult patients.
