"Patient Safety: Evidence-Based Solutions for Quality Geriatric Care"

Our 12th Annual NICHE Conference will be held at Walt Disney World®, Disney’s Contemporary Resort in Orlando, Florida. Registration is now open for all three conferences. Register now!

The theme of the three part conference will be Patient Safety: Evidence Based Solutions for Quality Geriatric Care. Led by Drs. Elizabeth Capezuti and Marie Boltz of the Hartford Institute for Geriatric Nursing, this program also features experienced NICHE site representatives and healthcare experts. The NICHE Annual Conference brings together both new and experienced NICHE sites to commit or re-commit to improve care to older adults.

NICHE Leadership Conference (Mon - Tues, February 23-24th) a two-day program providing an overview of implementation strategies for bringing NICHE to new hospitals.

Best Clinical Practices Conference (Wed, February 25th) a one day program featuring cutting-edge, research-based best nursing practices linking national research to direct care.

NICHE User Conference (Thurs, February 26th) a one day program featuring innovative and practical approaches to strengthen implementation of NICHE for experienced NICHE sites.

Call for Posters

Posters are now being accepted for the upcoming 12th Annual NICHE Conference. The poster presentation session will be held on Wednesday, February 25th at the Disney Contemporary Resort. The session will be an opportunity for you to showcase and highlight a NICHE program initiative or a research project.

Poster requirements:

  • Submit abstract and handout to nursing.niche@nyu.edu.
  • Please include primary author and contact information.
  • The text should be single-spaced and not exceed 250 words.
  • Please note on the abstract the type of poster (tri fold or hanging) and size.

Submission deadline is November 28, 2008!

Cancellations and Substitutions:

All cancellations must be made in writing to nicheconference@gmail.com Cancellations received more than 30 days before the conference will be given a full refund, less an administrative fee of $75. No refunds will be given for cancellations received less than 30 days before the conference.

Substitutions are welcome for a fee of $25.

The conference hosts reserve the right to cancel or postpone any or all conference activities due to unforeseen circumstances. In the event of cancellation or postponement, registration fees will be credited to another NICHE program.
